Common questions
Are these official government apps?
No. Inmigracion Apps is a private company, operated by Rue Technology LLC. We are not affiliated with USCIS, EOIR or any government agency, and nothing in our apps is legal advice.
The app shows something different from USCIS or the court. Which is right?
The agency is always right. The app shows what the official system returned the last time it was checked, and agencies sometimes update their systems late. Confirm with USCIS case status (Contact Center 800-375-5283) or EOIR case information (1-800-898-7180), or ask your attorney. For court hearings, the notice from the court is what counts.
I’m not getting notifications.
Check that notifications are turned on for the app in your phone’s settings, that you are signed in, and that the case is saved in your list. Saved cases are re-checked on a schedule, not instantly, so an alert can arrive some hours after the agency updates a case.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel them there. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you paid through. For Apple, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, see Google Play’s refund page.
I paid, but I still see ads or Premium isn’t working.
Make sure you are signed in to the app with the same account you used when you subscribed, then use Restore Purchases in the app’s menu if it is shown. If it still doesn’t work, email us with the app name and your store order number.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, open your account or profile screen and choose Delete account. You can also email us from the address you signed in with and we will delete it for you. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in the App Store or Google Play. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what we keep.
Can I track a family member’s case?
Yes, as long as you have their permission. Both case trackers let you save several cases and give each one a name.
Where can I find legal help?
We can’t give legal advice. For free or low-cost help, see the EOIR list of pro bono legal service providers and USCIS’s Find Legal Services page. Only licensed attorneys and accredited representatives may give immigration legal advice. Be careful with “notarios” and immigration consultants.
